Animated Book Purchase Terms

Effective 30 July 2026

These Purchase Terms apply when you buy public animated book access from Friends Resilience Pty Ltd ACN 112 233 566 (“Friends Resilience”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By completing checkout, you agree to the version identified there.

Licensee purchases and use of the FRIENDS Programs including the animated book under a license, are governed by separate agreements.

1. What you are purchasing

Each paid reader access gives 1 reader, online access to 1 selected animated book for 1 year from successful payment. Access belongs to the purchasing account and must be assigned to a reader profile before use. The 1-year period starts at purchase, with no automatic renewal, downloadable copy or permanent offline access.

The purchase does not include FRIENDS training, professional licensing, certificates, facilitator manuals, professional resources or permission to deliver a FRIENDS program.

2. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create reader access. If you are under 18, you may only create reader access if you are at least 16 years old, and have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms.

3. Wellbeing Disclaimer – personal and family use

Public animated book access is for personal or family use at home only. A parent or caregiver may help the assigned reader. Classroom, school, clinic, group and professional delivery, all require appropriate FRIENDS training and licensing

The animated book includes information, content and guidance related to mind health and wellbeing. The animated book and any related information provided via use of the animated book are provided for general informational and self-guided wellness purposes only. Nothing in the animated book or any associated information, constitutes medical or other professional advice, treatment or recommendation. If you or an assigned reader may require urgent or emergency assistance, do not rely on the animated book or any other information provided. Contact emergency services or an appropriate urgent-care provider immediately.

4. Restrictions on use

Do not share logins, resell or sublicense access, reproduce, distribute or publicly display book content, or bypass access controls. These restrictions do not remove any use permitted by law.

If we reasonably believe that you may be using the animated book in a way that infringes these Terms or an applicable law, we may require you to stop immediately.

5. Accounts and reader profiles

The purchasers’ account owns the purchase, billing record and reader profiles. Each reader requires their own profile and paid access. The account owner can reset a profile PIN and enter it, so saved answers are not confidential from the account owner.

Access to the animated book with no meaningful progress (eg annotation) may be reassigned to another reader on the same account. Please contact itsupport@friendsresilience.org before the new reader uses it. Meaningful progress is recorded when the reader actively works through the book by moving through its pages, answering questions, completing activities, or adding or changing content. Once that progress is saved, the access remains assigned until expiry.

6. Access period and profile deletion

Animated book access expires 1-year after purchase, regardless of assignment or first opening. Deleting a reader profile removes its assigned access and saved answers and progress from normal use. The access is not returned as a reusable copy and deletion alone does not create a credit or refund. See the Privacy Policy for retention of purchase and usage records.

7. Price, payment and delivery

Prices are shown and charged in Australian dollars (AUD). Payment is processed through the payment options presented at checkout. Purchase confirmation and access instructions are sent to the verified checkout email address after successful payment.

You confirm that you have legal capacity to complete the purchase and authority to provide any information you submit about another reader.

8. Refunds, payment reversals and consumer rights

Nothing in these Purchase Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including Australian Consumer Law guarantees. If an animated book is faulty or unavailable as promised, contact licensing@friendsresilience.org and we can provide the remedy required by law. Other refund requests are assessed individually.

If a payment is refunded, reversed or subject to a successful chargeback, the related reader access may be revoked. This does not limit any right or remedy available under applicable consumer law.

9. Availability and account security

Internet access and a compatible browser or device are required. Maintenance, connection problems or an expired sign-in session may interrupt use. We may improve the service, but changes do not remove rights attached to your purchase.

10. Intellectual property

Friends Resilience and its licensors retain all intellectual-property rights in the animated books, content, illustrations, audio, activities, software and FRIENDS materials. Your purchase provides only the limited personal-use access described in these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Intellectual Property to you or grants you any right to use, copy, reproduce, share, license, sell, distribute any part of the Intellectual Property unless expressly granted under these Terms.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information relating to purchasers, accounts and reader profiles.

12. The version that applies

The version identified at checkout and recorded with your purchase applies to that purchase. Later revisions apply to future purchases and do not retrospectively remove existing rights. Mandatory legal protections continue to apply.

13. Governing Law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws in force in Queensland, Australia. Each party irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the courts of the Commonwealth of Australia exercising jurisdiction in Queensland in respect of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the animated book.
